News
First Aid Kit Industry knowledge

ADVAN Medical manufactures and exports first aid kits and first aid boxes from Suzhou, China. Since 2003 we have supplied hospitals, first-aid suppliers, medical distributors and retail chains in more than 60 countries. Our first-aid factory, established in 2010, produces configured kits and refill components under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, with most products CE certified and our Suzhou factories complying with FDA requirements.

A Manufacturer Built Around First Aid Kit Configuration

We are a First Aid Kit Suppliers with an integrated supply chain: adhesive coating, converting, cutting, assembly and packaging are handled in our own factories. That means the gauze, bandages, medical tape, wound dressings and adhesive components inside a kit can be produced and controlled by the same team that assembles and packs the finished kit.

Our first aid kit range is organized by use environment rather than by a single generic specification. Each kit type carries a different content mix, case format and labeling requirement, and we configure the bill of materials around the application the kit is intended to serve.

Our First Aid Kit Range and Application Fit

The table below shows how we position each kit type. Content lists, case dimensions and packaging language are confirmed per project rather than fixed across all orders.

Kit Type Typical Application Configuration Focus
First Aid Box General household, office and institutional use Rigid case, compartment layout, assorted wound care and tools
Workplace First Aid Box Factories, warehouses, construction and commercial sites Higher-count dressings, eye and burn items, wall-mount or portable case
Home First Aid Kit Family and domestic first response Compact soft or hard case, antiseptics, bandages, scissors, gloves
Survival First Aid Kit Outdoor, camping, emergency preparedness Trauma dressings, emergency blanket, compact weather-resistant pouch
Car First Aid Kit Vehicle and roadside use Flat pouch or case, gloves, gauze, tape, bandages, thermal blanket
IFAK Individual tactical, patrol and high-risk response Hemostatic and trauma components, tourniquet-compatible pouch, rapid access

Components We Produce for Kit Assembly

Because we manufacture the consumables that go into the kits, kit content is not limited to bought-in items. We produce adhesive bandages, sterile gauze pads, absorbent cotton, medical tape, wound dressings and bandages in our own facilities, which supports consistent quality across repeat orders.

  • Wound care: sterile gauze pads and blocks, adhesive bandages, Wound Dressing formats including transparent and hydrocolloid types.
  • Fixation: non-woven, PE, silk, cotton and zinc oxide Medical Tape for dressing retention and strapping.
  • Absorbents and support: medical cotton products, gauze bandages and elastic or cohesive bandages.
  • Tools and accessories: scissors, tweezers, gloves, CPR barriers, instant cold packs and emergency blankets, sourced to the project specification.

Case, Pouch and Packaging Options

The case is often the most visible part of a first aid kit, so we treat it as a configurable element. We offer rigid boxes, soft bags and compact pouches, with compartment layouts designed around the content list and the way the kit will be opened in an emergency.

  • Rigid plastic or metal-style boxes for workplace and institutional placement.
  • Soft nylon or fabric bags for home, car and travel kits.
  • MOLLE-compatible or belt-mount pouches for IFAK and individual carry.
  • Custom logo printing, color matching and multilingual labeling.
  • Retail-ready cartons, blister packs or shelf-ready packaging.

Quality Control and Compliance

Our quality control team follows documented inspection procedures across incoming materials, in-process converting and finished kit assembly. Products are manufactured to ISO 13485:2016 standards, most carry CE certification, and our Suzhou factories comply with FDA requirements. Stability testing, microbiological testing and sample retention support traceability from raw material to finished kit.

For projects targeting specific markets, we can prepare formulas and documentation aligned with EU or FDA requirements. Compliance evidence is confirmed against the actual kit configuration and destination market before production.

ODM/OEM and Customization Support

We provide full ODM/OEM service for first aid kits, from product design and content selection to packaging and shipment. More than ten technical staff support custom development, and our integrated supply chain keeps design work and new kit concepts within our own factories.

  • Custom content lists based on injury type, workplace risk or market regulation.
  • Case design, mold development and branding.
  • Formula and material selection for adhesive and wound care components.
  • Packaging design, labeling and instruction sheet localization.
  • Sampling in 3–7 business days for standard configurations, with 1–3 modification rounds depending on product type.

Information We Use to Configure Your Solution

To prepare an accurate first aid kit proposal, we work from the following project inputs. The more precisely these are defined, the faster we can confirm content, case and packaging.

Input What We Confirm
Intended use environment Kit type, content depth and case format
Target market and regulation Labeling language, compliance documentation and packaging claims
Required content list Component specifications, quantities and sterile or non-sterile status
Branding and packaging Logo, colors, carton format and retail presentation
Order quantity and schedule MOQ, production planning and delivery scope

Installation, Maintenance and Spare Parts

First aid kits are consumable products, so maintenance is mainly about restocking and expiry management. We support this by supplying refill components separately, including gauze, bandages, tape, dressings and antiseptic items, so a kit can be kept in service rather than replaced.

For workplace and institutional programs, we can define a refill schedule and pack refill modules that match the original kit layout. Documentation and training materials can be included in the delivery scope when required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you produce a first aid kit to our own content list?

Yes. We build the kit around your specified components, quantities and case format. If you provide the intended use and target market, we can also propose a content list based on our experience with workplace, home, car, survival and IFAK configurations.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom first aid kits?

MOQ depends on the kit type and customization level. For medical consumables in our range, MOQ starts at 1,000–10,000 units per specification. Custom packaging and Pantone color matching carry higher minimums, which we confirm during quotation.

Do you supply refill components separately?

Yes. We manufacture gauze, bandages, medical tape, wound dressings, cotton products and adhesive bandages, so refill packs can be supplied to match the original kit configuration.

How long does sampling and production take?

Standard first samples are typically ready in 3–7 business days, with 1–3 modification rounds depending on product type. Production lead time varies by cooperation mode and product complexity; we confirm the schedule when the configuration is fixed.

Can you provide compliance documentation for our market?

We manufacture to ISO 13485:2016 standards, most products are CE certified, and our Suzhou factories comply with FDA requirements. For specific destination markets, we can prepare formulas and documentation aligned with EU or FDA requirements.
