Silicone Foam Wound Dressing is particularly suitable for chronic wounds and pressure injury prevention, addressing two fundamental challenges in wound care: high absorbency and painless removal. It consists of a release membrane, highly absorbent foam, a porous silicone layer, and a waterproof polyurethane membrane.

Self-adhesive electrode pads are the silent workhorses behind every TENS, EMS, and muscle-stimulation session. They deliver the low-voltage pulses that relieve pain, relax tight muscles, and speed up recovery, but only when the pad stays sticky and conducts evenly. With each use, the conductive hydrogel picks up skin ...
READ MOREA foam dressing is a soft, cushioning wound cover made from medical-grade polyurethane foam. It is designed to absorb exudate, keep the wound bed moist, and protect the healing area from friction and contamination. Because of its versatility, healthcare professionals rely on foam dressings for a wide range of acute an...
READ MOREManaging a wound at home means more than just placing a clean pad over it. The way a dressing fits can determine how quickly the wound heals and whether complications appear. One of the most common problems is a dressing applied too tightly. When a bandage squeezes the wound or the surrounding limb, it can reduce bloo...
READ MOREADVAN Medical (Suzhou Advan Medical Technology Co., Ltd.) has manufactured medical consumables since 2003 and supplies wholesale Silicone Foam Wound Dressing manufacturers output to hospitals, first-aid suppliers, medical distributors and retail groups in more than 60 countries. Our silicone foam range is built around two clinical requirements that define this dressing class: high exudate absorbency and atraumatic removal.
Each dressing combines a release membrane, an absorbent foam core, a perforated silicone wound-contact layer and a waterproof polyurethane backing film. We produce bordered and non-bordered formats, anatomical shapes for sacral and heel sites, and OEM/ODM variants with customer-specified dimensions, packaging and branding.
Our catalogue covers the sizes most frequently specified for chronic wound management, pressure injury prevention and post-operative dressing protocols. Standard square formats run from 5 × 5 cm through 17.5 × 17.5 cm, with anatomical and shaped variants for awkward or high-friction sites.
| Format | Typical Size | Application Fit |
|---|---|---|
| Square bordered | 5 × 5, 7.5 × 7.5, 10 × 10, 12.5 × 12.5, 15 × 15, 17.5 × 17.5 cm | General chronic wounds, leg ulcers, donor sites, low to moderate exudate |
| Heart-shaped bordered | 18 × 18 cm | Sacral and coccyx pressure injury prevention and treatment |
| Heart-shaped sacral bordered | 22.5 × 22.5 cm | Large sacral wounds, immobile or long-stay patients |
| Heel-shaped bordered | Anatomical heel profile | Heel pressure ulcers, friction injuries, diabetic foot sites |
| Long rectangular bordered | 30 × 10 cm | Limb wounds, elongated incisions, drain-site coverage |
Shaped dressings reduce the need for manual cutting at the bedside and keep the adhesive border on intact periwound skin, which supports longer wear time and more consistent dressing protocols.
The four-layer build is deliberate. The perforated silicone contact layer allows exudate to pass into the foam while limiting adhesion to the wound bed, so removal is less painful and less likely to disturb new tissue. The foam core manages fluid and keeps the wound environment moist; the polyurethane film provides a waterproof, bacteria-resistant outer barrier that allows moisture vapour transmission.
We also supply the upstream materials used in these constructions, including Jumbo Raw Material Roll formats, Medical Adhesive and Release Paper, which allows converters and distributors to align finished dressings with their existing material specifications.
Silicone foam is a first-line choice for moderate to highly exuding wounds and for patients whose skin cannot tolerate aggressive adhesives. Our range is specified across hospital wound-care units, community nursing, long-term care and home healthcare distribution.
Pressure injuries, venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and cavity wounds where exudate control and gentle removal both matter.
Sacral and heel shapes for at-risk patients, including prophylaxis protocols in ICU, geriatric and rehabilitation wards.
Surgical incisions, skin graft donor sites and drain sites requiring a waterproof, absorbent cover with low dressing-change discomfort.
For wounds that need a non-adherent interface rather than full absorbency, our Silicone Wound Contact Layer Dressing is often used beneath secondary absorbent dressings. Foam without a silicone interface is available as Foam Wound Dressing for protocols that do not require low-tack removal.
Our ODM/OEM process covers shape, dimension, adhesive level, foam thickness, backing film and packaging format. Configuration decisions are made against the wound type, exudate level, wear time target and the market's regulatory pathway.
Our Suzhou factories operate under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, with most products CE certified and factory operations aligned to FDA requirements. A dedicated quality inspection team follows documented procedures from incoming raw material through coating, converting, packaging and final release.
Our integrated supply chain runs from raw materials to finished product inside our own facilities, which keeps quality control and design confidentiality under one roof.
To prepare an accurate dressing specification and quotation, we work from the clinical and commercial parameters below. Where a project involves private label, we also confirm artwork, carton configuration and market labelling requirements.
| Input | What We Need From You | How We Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Wound type and exudate level | Chronic, acute, sacral, heel or cavity; low to high exudate | Selects foam thickness, absorbency and border format |
| Size and shape | Target dimensions or anatomical profile | Drives die-cut tooling and dressing geometry |
| Skin sensitivity requirement | Fragile, macerated or paediatric skin | Sets silicone tack level and removal characteristics |
| Wear time target | Expected dressing change interval | Balances absorbency, breathability and adhesion |
| Market and compliance | Target country, CE or FDA pathway, labelling language | Defines documentation, testing and packaging content |
| Order volume and packaging | Annual or first-order quantity, pouch and carton format | Confirms MOQ, tooling and production planning |
First samples are typically produced within 3–7 business days, with 1–3 modification rounds available depending on product type and formulation complexity. Standard production lead times run from 20 to 60 days according to cooperation mode, specification and packaging route.
Delivery scope is confirmed per project and can include sterile pouches, printed cartons, shipping marks and export documentation aligned to the destination market.
Distributors and hospital groups often build a wound-care programme across several dressing classes. Alongside silicone foam, we manufacture Hydrocolloid Wound Dressing, alginate, transparent film and NPWT sponge formats, which allows a single supply programme to cover different exudate levels and wound stages.
For first-aid and retail channels, the same manufacturing base supplies adhesive bandages, medical tapes and sterile wound dressings under private label.
We produce bordered square dressings from 5 × 5 cm to 17.5 × 17.5 cm, heart-shaped sacral dressings at 18 × 18 cm and 22.5 × 22.5 cm, heel-shaped dressings and a 30 × 10 cm long rectangular format. Custom dimensions and die-cut shapes are available through our ODM process.
Yes. The perforated silicone contact layer can be specified with different tack levels so the dressing stays in place during wear but removes without pulling on fragile or macerated periwound skin. We confirm the target patient population before finalising the specification.
We provide full OEM/ODM support covering shape, colour, logo, material, specification, size and packaging. Sterile pouches, peel-open sachets and printed cartons can be produced with your branding and market-specific labelling.
Our Suzhou factories operate under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, most products are CE certified, and factory operations comply with FDA requirements. Documentation and testing records are prepared according to the target market's regulatory pathway.
MOQ for our medical consumables range starts at 1,000–10,000 units per specification. Custom Pantone colour work starts at 20,000 units, and custom printed packaging begins at 100,000 units per packaging style.
