News
First Aid Box Industry knowledge

ADVAN Medical (Suzhou Advan Medical Technology Co., Ltd.) has manufactured medical consumables since 2003 and has operated a dedicated first-aid factory since 2010. From our Suzhou plants we supply wholesale First Aid Box manufacturers programmes for hospitals, first-aid suppliers, medical distributors and retail chains, combining kit assembly with our own wound dressing, medical tape, gauze, bandage and cotton production.

Because the contents of a box are drawn from categories we make ourselves, we control the dressing format, adhesive, packaging and printed instructions that determine how a kit performs in the workplace, vehicle, home or field.

What We Manufacture in the First Aid Box Range

Our first aid box range covers rigid and soft-shell configurations assembled around a defined treatment scope. Each box is built as a complete bill of materials: the case, the internal dividers or pouches, the consumables, and the label or instruction card that tells the user what to do.

  • Workplace first aid box — wall-mountable or portable units sized for office, workshop and light industrial environments.
  • Home first aid kit — compact boxes for household wound care, burns and minor trauma.
  • Car first aid kit — vehicle-stored boxes with contents selected for road incidents.
  • Survival first aid kit — extended-scope kits for outdoor, remote and emergency response use.
  • IFAK — individual first aid kits for tactical, patrol and personal-issue programmes.

Contents Drawn From Our Own Production

Kit contents are not sourced as a generic bundle. We fill boxes from the same categories we manufacture and export, which keeps specification, artwork and batch documentation consistent across repeat orders.

Content Group Typical Items Where It Fits
Wound dressing Adhesive bandages, sterile dressings, transparent film, foam and hydrocolloid dressings Workplace, home, car and IFAK kits
Medical tape Non-woven, PE, silk, cotton and zinc oxide tapes Dressing fixation in every kit format
Gauze and cotton Gauze pads and blocks, absorbent cotton, cotton balls and swabs Cleaning and coverage in trauma-focused kits
Bandages Gauze bandage, medical bandage, elastic and cohesive wraps Sprains, compression and limb support
Specialised items Chest sealing patch, eye patch, burn and cooling items Survival, IFAK and industrial kits

Matching the Box to Its Environment

A first aid box is only useful if its contents match the risk profile of the place it is kept. We build the contents list around the environment rather than around a fixed template, so a workshop kit and a household kit can share the same shell but carry very different consumable sets.

  • Workplace and industrial — higher counts of gauze, bandages and eye care, with wall-mount or cabinet formats for fixed stations.
  • Vehicle — compact, crush-resistant cases with contents that tolerate temperature variation during storage.
  • Home and retail — consumer-facing packaging, clear labelling and simple instruction cards.
  • Field and tactical — IFAK and survival formats with haemorrhage-control and trauma items in a single accessible pouch.

Case, Material and Configuration Options

We supply boxes in rigid plastic, fabric soft-shell and metal-look formats, and we configure the internal layout to the contents list. Dividers, elastic loops, transparent pouches and removable trays are selected so that items stay in place during transport and are identifiable at a glance.

  • Case size and compartment count matched to the item count and pack sizes.
  • Latch, hinge and handle type selected for the intended handling frequency.
  • Printed lid logo, colour matching and multilingual labels.
  • Refill packs supplied separately so the box can be restocked without replacement.

Sterility, Packaging and Shelf Life

Sterile items inside a kit are supplied in their own validated primary packaging; the outer box is a storage and organisation container, not a sterile barrier. We keep that distinction clear in the bill of materials so that sterility claims, labelling and instructions remain accurate for the target market.

  • Individual sterile pouches with batch and expiry marking.
  • Outer cartons sized for pallet and container loading.
  • Instruction cards and content lists in the required language.
  • Retail-ready or bulk distribution packaging, depending on the sales channel.

Quality Control and Compliance

Our Suzhou factories operate under ISO 13485:2016 quality management, most products are CE certified, and our Suzhou facilities comply with FDA requirements. A dedicated inspection team follows documented procedures from incoming raw material through to finished kit assembly.

For first aid boxes, that means incoming inspection of dressings, tapes and gauze, verification of item counts against the approved contents list, checks on labelling and expiry marking, and retained samples for traceability. Documentation can be prepared to match the regulatory route of the destination market.

OEM, ODM and Private Label Programmes

We run first aid box programmes as OEM, ODM or full turnkey projects. In an OEM model, you provide the brand, contents list and artwork, and we manufacture and assemble. In an ODM model, our technical team develops the contents specification, case selection and packaging concept for your brand.

  • Case, colour, logo and label customisation.
  • Contents list development against the intended application.
  • Packaging design, including retail cartons and instruction sheets.
  • Sampling rounds for texture, colour, contents and functionality adjustments.

Information We Use to Configure Your Solution

A first aid box quotation depends on the contents list as much as on the case. The following inputs let us fix the bill of materials, packaging and price without repeated clarification.

Input What It Determines
Application and environment Contents scope, case type and durability requirements
Contents list with item sizes Compartment layout, box dimensions and pack counts
Sterile versus non-sterile items Primary packaging, labelling and documentation
Branding and artwork files Printing, label language and retail presentation
Target market and compliance route Certification documents and instruction content
Order quantity per SKU MOQ, tooling and unit cost
Packaging and shipping format Carton configuration and delivery scope

Distributors who assemble or refill kits in their own market can order the component categories directly. Raw material supply through Jumbo Raw Material Roll supports converters and larger kit programmes that cut and convert their own components.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you build a first aid box to our own contents list?

Yes. Send the contents list with item types, sizes and quantities, and we will select a case and internal layout that holds everything securely, then confirm the bill of materials and unit price. If you have an existing box, a sample helps us match dimensions and compartment structure.

Do you supply the dressings and tapes inside the box, or only the case?

We manufacture the wound dressings, medical tapes, gauze, cotton and bandages that go into the kits, so both the case and the consumables can come from one order. This keeps batch documentation, labelling and expiry marking consistent across the whole kit.

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom first aid box?

MOQ depends on the case type, the contents list and the level of customisation. Standard configurations start lower than fully custom printed boxes, and Pantone colour matching or bespoke packaging raises the threshold. We confirm the exact MOQ with the quotation once the specification is fixed.

How long does sampling take before production?

First samples are typically ready within 3–7 business days for standard configurations. After you review the sample, adjustments to contents, colour, texture or functionality can be made over one to three revision rounds, depending on the item type and how much development the contents list requires.

Which compliance documents can accompany a first aid box order?

Our production follows ISO 13485:2016, most products are CE certified, and our Suzhou factories comply with FDA requirements. We prepare the documentation set that matches your destination market and can produce formulas and paperwork aligned with EU or FDA routes where required.

Can refill packs be ordered separately from the box?

Yes. Refill packs are quoted as their own SKU so distributors and facility managers can restock consumables without replacing the case. We keep the refill contents list aligned with the original kit specification so the two remain interchangeable across repeat orders.
