A release liner protects the adhesive face during coating, slitting, storage and shipment, then separates cleanly when the clinician, the die-cutter or the automated applicator needs the adhesive exposed. In medical jumbo rolls the liner must hold two properties at once: enough anchorage to survive winding tension without lifting or telescoping, and a peel force stable enough that the adhesive does not transfer to the liner or tear the backing.
